Holden, an automotive company in Australia has fame in Indonesia with large-bodied cars, announced a new city car that will be named Barina Spark to enter.
Hatchback car, the plan presented to the public was introduced at the Australian International Motor Show, held in Sydney next week.
The new vehicle, the Chevrolet Spark in fact the base, so it is not surprising that its performance is virtually identical to the Chevrolet poduk it.
This car is offered with interesting features like the sporty body kit, alloy wheels, fog lamps and rear spoiler. To pemanja ear while driving, Barina comes with head unit using the CD.
The list of standard safety features, this car is using the Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and six airbags, which are ready for the passengers and the driver when the accident occurred to protect.
"This is a very unique market and our Spark Barina has a design that is really fresh and energetic, with an economical and offer excellent safety features and best value for money as the tradition of Holden," said Director of Sales, marketing and aftersales Holden, John Elsworth, as quoted by car evolution, Saturday (09/10/2010).
The car is powered by a 1200 cc four-cylinder DOHC engine with a five-speed gearbox is used. This engine is also fuel efficient enough, because it consumes only 42 mpg, or about 5.6 liters for a distance of 100 km and is the most economical car in its class.
Holden Spark scheduled to be present in the model three-door and five-door, but do not say how much the price of the car.
